Trap Door

To all that remember the Kids T.V Programme Trap Door which was voiced by Willie Rushton

¯DON'T YOU OPEN THAT TRAPDOOR YOU'RE A FOOL IF YOU DARE!.
DON'T YOU OPEN THAT TRAPDOOR
'CUS THERE'S SOMETHING DOWN THERE.¯

Trap Door

Burt’s busy making meals for him upstairs
Boney sat watching, splitting hairs
The trapdoor twitches, then opens wide
Something 'orrible slithers from inside

The monster moves around the room
Hiding in the dungeon’s gloom
Eats all the food that Burt’s has cooked
Attacked poor Boney, when no-one looked

“Where’s my food?” booms the voice from aloft
It’s in the big monster that’s squidgy and soft
“I know what to do” thinks Burt very swift
Getting behind the monster and pushing it in the lift

Burt presses the button, shouting “Food coming sire!”
If his master doesn’t like it, the outcome will be dire
But soon he hears his master, eating with delight
Now Burt can relax, everything has turned out right

Precious Gift

When you hold something so precious
So precious in your hand
And its innocence and beauty
Falls away like grains of sand

When this precious gift is taken
And turned into something new
It’s hard to comprehend
When it’s lost what once you knew

When you have done all that is possible
To keep it safe from harm
And the trust you had in others
Are the ones that cause alarm

The innocence is gone
It will never be the same
And the precious gift you held
Is not the one to blame

How can you trust anyone
To help and understand
The precious gift will never return
Yet you still hold it in your hand.

Bring Me Love

When clouds depart and rain subsides
Please bring me love to be my guide
With seas of green and skies of blue
Please bring me love, a love so true
When flowers bloom and church bells ring
Please bring me love so my heart will sing
When sunshine melts the snow away
Please bring me love, forever to stay
When days pass by and nights grow cold
Please bring me love, someone to hold
I pray each night to the lord above
Please please please, just bring me love.

Chocolate

I love the time of Easter, When my children get a chocolate treat
For when they've gone to bed at night, Into the kitchen I do creep
I thought I would just have a nibble, So small that they wouldn’t know
But the chocolate tasted so good, That I had to have a little more

At first I broke off a corner, Then turned it so they couldn’t see
But then I turned it around again, Well the box was shouting at me!!
I thought the kids, they wouldn't mind, After all I am their mum
I looked down at the empty box, Oh lord what have I done?

So now I have a big problem, I need help for goodness sake
For I need to buy more chocolate, Before tomorrow my children awake...

Football (in my eyes)

What is it with this Football lark?
That makes the world quite sad
Watching men kick a ball around
Then fight, well that’s just mad
Football is a funny old game,
Well so it’s been said to me
But I cannot get my head around
All this football rivalry

They look all smiles and so relaxed
When they first shake the ref’s hand
The crowd all cheer and sing their songs
From way up in the stands
But it's the fighting, I can’t do with
If their team, they fail to win
They wait until the ref’s not looking
Then kick someone on the shin

Grown men fall and hug their knee
Rolling about on the grassy floor
You'd think that they'd been shot
Now come on I implore
Maybe if they were naked
While running around the pitch
I think I'd go and watch them more
Yes I'd definitely get the itch

So go and watch your football
I know you love it so
Pray that your team win today
And home safely you will go

The Mighty Oak

At the bottom of my garden there lies a tranquil scene
A carpet of daffodils and a gentle babbling stream
But from my house you’d never know this paradise was there
For in between a Mighty Oak spread branches everywhere

I reflected on last summer when my neighbours soaked up sun
Of how I had to sit in shade and stayed all pale and wan
So I took the brave decision, and firmly stood my ground
With chainsaw and with spirit, planned to cut the branches down

I scaled the offending giant to where the thinnest branches lay,
Whistling as I climbed each limb, “I’m a lumberjack, I’m OK”
But the Mighty Oak it trembled as my chainsaw roared like thunder
My neighbours could not help but watch and gazed in awe and wonder

But soon darkness descended, it began to look like rain
The thunder rumbled quietly but all was not in vain
I battled on; my neighbours knew that it was no joke
I now was more determined to fell this Mighty Oak

But when the heavens opened I thought my fate was sealed
My neighbours fled for cover but still I would not yielded
I lashed myself to the strongest bough, I really felt quite sick
I knew how Captain Ahab felt when fighting Moby Dick

The Mighty Oak rocked back and forth but still she did not wilt
Her roots were strong and claimed the soil before my house was built
A sudden crack of lightning and a deafening crash of thunder
Was this divine intervention? It really made me wonder

With legs akimbo and soaking wet I fought to take the lead
The crowd all gasped and began to cheer at my heroic deed
The Mighty Oak submitted her ground and yielded with a murmur
I knew that victory now was mine and leapt to terra firma

My neighbours gathered round me, congratulations were in store
When from the crowd a man appeared I had not seen before
His look was stern, he did not smile, I thought that I would choke
He said “A preservation order protects this “Mighty Oak!”

I looked aghast, my heart sank fast; I knew not what to say
He said, “You broke the law my friend” and led me swiftly away
Within a year the Mighty Oak her full height had reclaimed
And risen with majestic height like a phoenix from the flame

P.S. Anyone want to buy any logs???...

Below The Sheets

Below the sheets two bodies hide
All their nerves seem cast aside
A gentle touching of their bare skin
A blush for her a rush for him
Slowing caressing her yearning thighs
His touches, he gently satisfies
Beads of passion smoulder within
As arousing senses stir and begin

Their bodies both are wanting more
It feels so right to each explore
Soft loving kisses and racing hearts
this is where real loving starts
Bodies entwined in a loving embrace
A sigh of pleasure comes from her face
Passionate whispers as two unite,
Making sweet love all through the night

He strokes her cheek, caressed her lips
And pulls her closer to his hips
Awakening her senses of love and desire
As sparks within set passions on fire
Passionately holding closer still
Deep love heartfelt to fulfil
So soft and slow their bodies sway
As night time falls to a new day
Below the sheets two bodies hide
Both are spent, completely satisfied
